AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mr. James Ridout Winchester II , 52, husband of Elizabeth Dumesnil Winchester, entered into rest on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Augusta, with the Reverend Harriett Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Macon, Ga. with the Reverend Susan Tubbs officiating the committal service. Mr. Winchester, was a native of Macon, Ga. He was a graduate of Lanier High School. and Mercer University, and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order, the Virginia Society of the Cincinnati, and squadron 3 of the Son's of the American Legion. James was a Senior Real Estate Appraiser with Ramsey Appraisal in Augusta, and a member of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. Mr. Winchester resided in the Augusta area for the past 20 years, he was a devoted husband and father and a member of the St. Paul's Espicopal Chu rch. Additional survivors include; he is survived by his father, Thomas H. Winchester of Macon; two daughters, Elizabeth Reid Winchester Savannah, and Sarah Griffith Winchester of Macon; a step daughter, Jessica Fare Eubanks, of Washington, Ga. and a step son, Jeremy Fare of Atlanta.
