STRICKLAND James Ray 'Jimmy' Strickland, 55, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 12, 2010 in an auto accident. Mr. Strickland was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville. He attended Andrew Jackson High School and had retired after many years from Sears Warehouse. Jimmy enjoyed playing guitar, piano and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Strickland, Sr., step-father, Els Roberts and a sister, Kelly Lynn Roberts. Survivors include three children, Karey Nicole Strickland, James R. Strickland and Jamie R. Strickland; his mother, Minnie Roberts; three sisters, Pat Stafford, Karen Strickland (Tom Mylod) and Adrian Roberts; one brother, Hank Strickland (Lynn); one grandson, Caleb R. Strickland and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 17, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Rev.
