James "Jim" Proctor Hawkins III, age 18, of Springfield, Mo., formerly of Buffalo, Mo., passed away Saturday morning January 13, 2007 , in his home. He was born on January 23, 1988, in Springfield, Mo., the son of Bradley and D'Ann Whitworth Hawkins. Jim was a member of the First Christian Church in Buffalo, Mo.; he loved baseball, bowling, and playing cards. Jim also loved playing with his two nieces and spending time with his family and friends. Although Jim is gone he will live in our hearts forever He is survived by his mother: D'Ann Hawkins, of Springfield, Mo., his father Bradley Hawkins, of Buffalo, Mo., two sisters, Brooke Wolfe and husband Joshua, of Climax Springs, Mo., and Casey Hawkins, of Springfield, Mo.; two nieces, Abigale and Ava Wolfe, his girl friend, Cassie Henderson; his maternal grandparents, Larry and Betty Whitworth, of Macks Creek, Mo.; paternal grandmother Pat McCarthy, of Buffalo, Mo.; paternal grandfather Doyal Nimmo, of Buffalo, Mo.; great-maternal grandmother Edith Whitworth, of Camdenton, Mo., great-paternal grandmother Erma Rogers, of Buffalo, Mo.; three aunts, Susan Willis and husband Danny, Angelia Owens and husband Mike, Devona Allen and husband Jeff; one uncle, Lynn Whitworth; four cousins: Holly, Tyler, Sammie and Loryn. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Lynn O'Bannon Hawkins. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 18 in the Hedges Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Mo.. Burial was in the Macks Creek Cemetery in Macks Creek. Memorials may be made to the James P. Hawkins Memorial Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hedges Funeral Home of Macks Creek.
