Tony Latham and Rev. Gerald Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.Mr. Horton died November 13, 2011. He was born in Decatur County, TN, son of the late James Henry and Ola Maness Horton. Mr. Horton was a Sergeant in the Heavy Machine Gun Section of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. He was a retired machine operator for International Paper and was a member of Madison Hall Baptist Church. Mr. Horton was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener. He loved the Lord, his family and the land where he lived for many, many years. He was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Mae Creasy and a brother, John Henry Horton.He leaves his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Elizabeth Horton; two daughters, Shelia Paulette Horton and Karen Anniebeth Horton; two sons, Jimmy "Ted" Horton (Susie) and James "Randy" Horton (Leanne); three granddaughters, Janie Sue Horton, Beverly Ann Keymon and Kristen Jackim; three grandsons, Paul "Alex" Horton, Phillip "Drew" Horton and Paul "Garner" Kimbrell; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Wade, Trace, Lane, Braelyn and Jacob; a sister, Ruth Imajean Graves (late J.C.); a brother, William Oscar Horton (Ida Mae); friend-in-law, Garner Lee Kimbrell, who loved him like a father, and several nieces and nephews.
