James Foy, on November 15, 2005. Retired Lieutenant Yonkers Fire Department after 25 years of service and a Veteran U.S. Marine Corp. Born May 17, 1940 and raised in Yonkers. Son of the late Richard and Ruth (nee Hall) Foy. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty (nee O'Hara). Beloved father of Carol and Diane Foy. Devoted step-father of Tom (Erica) Carlo, Dawn (Dan) Hartnett and the late Billy Carlo. Fond brother of Richard, Patricia, Helen and the late Elizabeth and Michael. He has seven grandchildren: Alexa, Matthew, Emily, Nicholas, Jeremy, Billy and Sara who he loved dearly. Jim was a caring and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed golf, bike riding and the NY Giants. Jim was a good friend to many and spent a lot of "happy hours" with them. His good humor and wit will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. Jim suffered silently and with great dignity during these last months through a long and painful illness. The Foy family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Calvary Hospice Home Care for the wonderful care they gave this very special man. Mrs. Foy would like her special friends to know how much she appreciated the support and help they gave her throughout his illness. Calling hours will be at FLYNN MEMORIAL HOME, on Central Park Avenue, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass Saturday, 10 am, St. Eugene's Church.
