James C. Davis of Tucumcari, NM, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2008 following an extended illness. James was born October 5, 1924, in South Ozone Queens, New York. He had been an active member of the St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari, NM. He served in the US Army during World War II and following that, he was a Merchant Marine. He was retired from Sperry Marine where he was a System Engineer with Radar Steering. Surviving him is his son, Joseph J. Davis of Spring Valley, CA; his daughters, Mary Richards of San Diego CA, Patricia Martinez of Nevada City, CA, and Jackie Brown of Bonita, CA. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in the St. Anne's Catholic Church. Memorial Mass will be Thursday morning at 10:00 AM in the St. Anne's Catholic Church with Rev. Father Leo Padget as Celebrant.  Following Jame's wishes, cremation has taken place.  Interment of the cremains will be in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery following the Memorial Mass on Thursday morning.
