Obituary of Jakob-Norma Jean


JAKOB Norma Jean Jakob, age 70, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2014, at Community Hospice McGraw Center. She was born on March 7, 1944 in Erwin, Tennessee. She was the fourth of six girls born to Floyd and Pauline Bailey. Norma celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary this year with her husband, Christian Jakob. Together they raised four children, who blessed her with seven grandchildren, who brought joy and happiness to her life, and she showered them with love, kindness, and selflessness that they will miss forever. Norma was predeceased in death by her parents, her sister Lula, and her grandson Jakob. She is survived by her husband, Christian Jakob, her children, Michael (Cindy), Sherry (Brian), Shannon (Mindy), and Kelly (Gene). Her grandchildren, Aminda, Reid, Alex, Gene Christian, Kara and Chase. She is also survived by her sisters, Ada, Irma, Betty, Doris, and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her at the Mayo Clinic Hospital and Community Hospice. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2:30PM, graveside, at Jacksonville National Cemetery, with Rev. Buck Burney officiating. Family will receive friends Saturday (TODAY) November 29, 2014, at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville FL 32221. From 6:00-7:30 PM. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
