ObituaryJohn B. Davis, 86, of North Fort Myers, died Sunday, April 22, 2001. A retired Vice President of Insurance Company of North America (CIGNA), he resided here for the past twenty two years formerly of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Old Bridge Yacht Club. A U.S. Navy Lieutenant during WWII, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the Armour Institute of Technology of Chicago, Illinois (Illinois Institute of Technology) in 1936. Mr. Davis was a volunteer executive for the International Executive Service Corp., serving in San Salvador, El Salvador. He is survived by his wife of thirty two years Rity Ann Davis, a daughter Jane (Alex) Atkinson of St. Davids, Pennsylvania, a son James W. (Nancy) Davis of Durham, North Carolina, three grandsons Andy Atkinson, John Davis, Will Davis and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass and interment will be in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania.
