HARRIS, JESSIE MAEMrs. Jessie Mae Harris, age 97, passed away July 13, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Harris moved to Gainesville from Chiefland, FL, forty-one years ago. She was preceded in death by two children; Annie J. Williams, and Lonnie Harris. Mrs. Harris is survived by her children; Henry Harris, Port St. Lucie, FL, Willie Joe (Janie) Harris, William G. Harris (Curl), Priscilla (James) Williams, all of Gainesville, FL, Willie Mae (Connie) Pettway, Jensen Beach, FL, Ellar Williams, Jacksonville, FL, and Delores Cartwright, Fairbanks, FL, sister; Ernestine Brannon, Detroit, MI, and a host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be held, 11:00am, Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Chestnut Memorial Chapel, Gainesville, FL, Elder Ricky Williams, officiating; burial will follow in Rutledge Cemetery. Mrs. Harris will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 15, 2011, from 2-7pm, and on Sat., from 10:00am until the hour of service.
