MACKENZIE - Isobel Margaret Helen Passed away July 8, 2014, peacefully in her 90th year at her home in North Vancouver. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Douglas Richardson MacKenzie, and her daughter Kathy (Ken) Kolthammer. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her children Karen (Mike) Thirlwell, Don (Val) MacKenzie, Dianne (Neil) Hergott and the joy of her life, her grandchildren, Mark, Michelle, Kailey, Lauren, Bryan, Braden, Carmen and Dana. Isobel and her family would also like to give a special thanks to Dr. Sasha Smiljanic for his kindness and care, and in my Mom's words "for giving me five extra years that I never would have had". Also special thanks to the nurses of the Four East team, Bruria and Elizabeth from Evergreen Nursing Service, their help was invaluable to the family. Isobel has requested that there not be a service and asked that any donations be made to, The Arthritis Society, JDFR (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), or the BC Cancer Foundation.
