Mrs. Irma Louise Davis Westville Mrs. Irma Louise Davis, age 75, of Westville, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home in LaPorte at 6:06 a.m. She was born on October 26, 1929 in Gary, IN. Her parents were Earle Jenner and Al and Thelma Kimble. On June 26, 1949, she married Frank Davis who survives. Also surviving are her children: Lee (Judi) Davis of Wanatah and Gale (Budd) Kennedy of Daytona Beach, FL; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews across the country also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Davis graduated from high school in Three Rivers, MI and the Chardel College of Cosmetology in Kalamazoo, MI. She worked for many years with doctors at Memorial Hospital in Michigan City who eventually organized the Michigan City Medical Group. Mrs. Davis volunteered many years service to the patients at Beatty Memorial Hospital in Westville and received many citations for her services there. She was a 49 year member of the Westville American Legion Auxiliary and two time president there. She was a charter member of Tri-Kappa in Westville where she was a past president. Irma was a longtime member of the 8 & 40 in LaPorte County, where she was a two time president. A memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the Newhard Funeral Home in Westville. Presiding over the services will be Budd and Gale Kennedy.
