TUSCALOOSA Inez E. Davis, age 95, of Tuscaloosa, died Aug. 12, 2006 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2006 at Weeping Mary Baptist Church with Rev. J.L. Simpson officiating and Williams Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Davis, Sr., parents, Mose and Eugenia Edmonds, sister, Emma Evans and brother, Goliath Edmonds.She retired after working more than 30 years at First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa.Survivors include sons, Earl (Leautry) Davis of Katy, Texas and Eugene (Jankie) Davis of Hampton, Va.; daughters, E. Elaine Davis-Timmons of Kalamazoo, Mich. and Brenda Joyce (Jimmy) Ervin of Tuscaloosa; nine grandchildren, Erwann (Ron) Wilson of Dallas, Texas, Dr. Trina Joy Davis of College Station, Texas, Toussaint Davis of Chicago, Ill., Sgt. IC Kevin (Cheryl) Timmons of El Paso, Texas, John Davis Timmons, III of Kalamazoo, Mich., Angela Davis of Hampton, Va., Xavier Eugene (Lindsay) Davis of Suwanee, Ga., Demetrius Ervin of Marietta, Ga. and Jahmal D. Ervin of Tuscaloosa; 11 great-grandchildren; god daughter, Rosie Dunn; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Weeping Mary Baptist Church building fund and Caring Days Adult Day Care Center.
