PICKETT, Hugh WesleyHugh was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on December 2, 1929 to Bill and Maye Pickett. He passed away peacefully in the Fort Saskatchewan hospital March 26, 2016 at the age of 86 years. Hugh worked in the oil industry overseas for many years then retired to Fort Saskatchewan to assist his parents during their later years. He is survived by two brothers, Don and wife Lorna of Lacombe, AB and John (Jack) and wife Doreen of Lamont, as well as nieces and nephews Gary (Gayle) Pickett, Bob (Verna) Pickett, Joanne (Dave), David (Susan) Pickett, Sandra (Steve) Beaudoin, James and Catherine. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Bruce Pickett, sister Eleanor Pickett, and nephew Alan Pickett. Cremation has taken place. Interment and a Memorial will take place at the family plot in the Lacombe cemetery at a later date. Special thanks from Hugh''s family extended to his close friend Ray, for his support and friendship with Hugh through recent years.
