KELLY, Howard Gordon - (Member Veteran's Club of Barrie, The Royal Canadian Legion, Barrie Probus Club, Retired Sergeant and Band Master RCAF Trenton, Belleville Shrine and Allendale Seniors Club) Passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Thursday, February 25, 2010. Howard Kelly of Barrie in his 87th year was the beloved husband of Veretta (nee Longhurst) of Barrie. Dear father of Gordon and his wife Lynn of Toronto and Carol Kelly also of Toronto. Loving grandfather of Stephanie and Brittany and Matthew and Christopher. Predeceased by brothers Albert and Lloyd. Brother-in-law of Evelyn Kelly of Barrie, Ross Hickling of Barrie and Leighton Clark (Nancy) also of Barrie. Fondly remembered by nieces Brenda Jones, Wendy O'Mara, Joanne Spence, Susan Clark and Jan Russell and nephew Brad Hickling as well as cousins, friends and neighbours. Friends may call at the Jennett Chapel of the McClelland & Slessor Funeral Home, 152 Bradford St., in Barrie on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Service will be held at the Burton Avenue United Church on Tuesday, March 2nd at 1:30 p.m. Spring interment Barrie Union Cemetery.
