McKENNA-LYNG, Helen1956-2011Peacefully at home with her family, after a courageous fight against breast cancer, on Friday November 25, 2011 at the age of 55. Beloved wife of Brian Lyng. Devoted mother of Alana (Adil), Sharon and Breanne. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Marilyn (John), Giselle (Gerry), John (Debbie), Kevin (Janet) and Joe. Cherished godmother to Greg. Goddaughter to Rita Bury. Pre- deceased by her parents Tillie Clarey and D'Arcy McKenna. Helen was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Sister-In-Law, Aunt, Friend and Nurse. Her deep faith, devotion and love of others touched everyone and will be fondly remembered. Friends are invited to visit the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave. Carleton Place, on Monday November 28, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at St. Clare's Roman Catholic Church, Dwyer Hill Rd., at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Clare's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to 'The Ottawa Hospital Foundation' towards the Helen Mckenna-Lyng Fund. Helen is now, and forever will be, 'Our Angel' (Helen's Angels).
