Obituary of Helen-McCauley Will


PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. Helen McCauley Will, 91, of Pembroke Pines, Fla., passed away Friday, June 13, 2003. Helen was born on June 17, 1911 in Ellicottville, New York to Rev. Francis Leroy McCauley and Sarah Lovell McCauley. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Andrew C. Will; brother, Leroy Lovell McCauley and grandson, Andrew T. Halloran. She is survived by her twin sister, Eleanor McCauley of Loudonville, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Elizabeth McCauley of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; daughter, Louise Halloran and her husband Michael of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; daughter, Carol Brown and her husband, Martin of Hague, N.Y.; grandson, Keith (April) Halloran of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandson, Christopher (Danielle) Smith of New York City, N.Y.; granddaughter, Sarah E. Halloran a student at UF in Gainesville, Fla.; two step-grandchildren of Rochester, N.Y. and many nieces and nephews. Helen attended Rochester, N.Y. public schools and is a graduate of Cohoes (N.Y.) High School. She attended Parsons School of Fine Arts (NYC), received her B.A. from Russell Sage College (Troy, N.Y.) and did graduate work at Syracuse University (Syracuse, N.Y.). Helen was a relief worker during the depression, she was an art teacher in Cohoes (N.Y.) Public Schools and North Colonie Central Schools, retiring in 1972. Helen lived in Cohoes, N.Y. most of her life before moving to Pembroke Pines, Fla. in 1995. Communicant of First United Presbyterian Church (Troy, N.Y.) and attended Trinity Lutheran in Pembroke Pines. Helen kept busy with many crafts including sewing, knitting, smocking, and crocheting. In recent years she devoted much of her time to her grandchildren. Helen will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Services were officiated by Rev. Keith Spencer at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Pembroke Pines, Fla. Burial at later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, N.Y. Boyd's Family Funeral Homes, 6400 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, FL 33024, (954) 983-6400 in charge of arrangements.
