McKENNA Helen A., died suddenly on June 10, 2008. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Oradell. Before her retirement, she worked for many years as an editor at Medical Economics magazine in Montvale. A volunteer at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood and an active member of the Oradell Senior Citizens' Club, she enjoyed books, theatre, and museums. Helen, who was often called Bunny, traveled extensively and visited New York City frequently, and was happiest when spending time with her husband and family. She shared 48 years with her beloved husband Eamon. She was a loving mother to Carolyn, Kathleen, and Thomas, a loving sister to Joan Schmidt, CSJ., and an adoring grandmother to Louisa, Simon and William. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitors are invited today to Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell, from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 am, at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Oradell. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Oradell Public Library.
