Funeral service for Hester D. Cooper, 77, was Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Kilgroe Chapel. Interment was in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Ms. Cooper passed away April 21, 2012. She loved Alabama football and she loved all aspects of racing. She is survived by sons, Buddy (Alice) Cooper, Terry (Renae) Cooper; daughters, Elaine (Gene) Childers, Karen (Jerry) Willis; sisters, Melba Tucker, Ester Cain, Jeanette Blackmon, Rosetta Tuberville; grandchildren, Phillip, Stony, Denise, Steven, Emily, Kevin and Jonathan; 18 great grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews.
