Obituary of Gladys-G. Davis


Gladys G. Davis MIDDLEBORO Gladys Gertrude (Hebert) Davis, age 66 years, lifelong resident of Middleboro, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Forest View Nursing Home, Wareham, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Roger S. Davis, who predeceased her in March of 1987. Born in Middleboro, she was a daughter of the late George and Gladys (Creamer) Hebert. Educated in Middleboro, she had worked for several years as a C.N.A. at the former Lakeville Hospital. She attended the United Methodist Church in Bridgewater and loved participating in crafts, Monday night bingo and was involved in the knitting group at the Council on Aging, Middleboro. She will be warmheartedly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by three daughters, Carol and her husband Joe Potelho of East Providence, R.I., Katherine Leary of Middleboro and Dottie Caron of Somerset; one brother, John Hebert of Middleboro; one sister, Judy Cox of St. Petersburg, Fla.; half brother, Jeff Hebert of Middleboro, seven grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was mother in-law of the late Michael Leary. Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
