GladysDavis, 99, Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Port Orange, on Monday, November 10, 2008. She was born on October 31, 1909, to John and Mary Farris, in Eldorado, Illinois, and was the youngest of 13 children. She married John Davis, and moved to Detroit, Michigan, where they raised their two daughters, Kathleen Sapsford, Port Orange, FL, and Barbara Legg, Lewiston, Michigan., before moving to Holly Hill, FL in 1975. After the death of her husband in 2003, she was lovingly cared for by her devoted daughter, Kathleen at her residence in Port Orange. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, and will be missed so very much by her family, friends, and her beloved pets, Katie and Tinkerbell. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 15th, 2008, in the Chapel at Hospice in Port Orange, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Flagler/Volusia.
