Gladis A. Hall, 96, of West Frankfort passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at U A B Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born January 1, 1916 in Equality, Il. to William Syers and Delah (Martin) Syers. She married Marshall O. Hall and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2000. Survivors include a son, David and (Delores) Hall of Philadelphia, Ms.; three daughters, Rosemary Warren of West Hills, Ca., Ellen and (Johnny) Volpato of Raton, NM., and Marie and (Wayne) Absher of Bessemer, Al. 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall O. Hall; grandson, Matthew Warren; two great grandchildren, Benjamin Hall and Matthew Warren and four brothers and 3 sisters. She was a 91 year member of the Heights Church of God in West Frankfort and formerly worked at the V.A. Hospital in Marion. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Heights Church of God in West Frankfort with Rev. Joe Daniels officiating. Burial will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
