-> Uvalda - Mr. George H. Davis, 74, of 763 George Davis Rd., Uvalda, died Monday afternoon, June 20, in Meadows Regional Medical Center of Vidalia after a brief illness. Mr. Davis was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County. He was a farmer and retired School Bus Driver for Toombs County School System, worked for the Tax Assessor Office for 27 years, he was a U.S. Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Melvis Davis of Uvalda; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Janice Davis of Uvalda; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and Randal Foskey of Alston and Alicia and Randy Rollins of Uvalda; one sister, Johnnie Mae Kight of Soperton; six grandchildren, Julie Palmer and husband, Jeffry, Craig Foskey, Brad Davis, Melanie Davis, Justin Rollins, and Ashley Rollins. Funeral services for Mr. George H. Davis will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, June 22, 2005 at 4:00 p.m ., from Smyrna United Methodist Church with Rev. David Aycock, Rev. Charles Puryear, Rev. Joe Phillips, and Rev. K.C. Seabury officiating. Interment will follow in Church Cemetery. Ronnie L.
