ALTAMONT Gene E. Davis, 67, died suddenly on Saturday, December 3, 2005 in Lakeland, Fla. Mr. Davis was born in Greene, N.Y., the son of the late Vincent and Wanda Davis. He moved to Altamont in 1962 and worked at the Watervliet Arsenal for over 30 years. He then worked for the Town of Guilderland. Gene loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Trouts Unlimited, Middleburgh Rod and Gun Club and New York State Muzzleloaders. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Janice Hall Davis; his sons, Kent (Kirsti) Davis of Sarasota, Fla. and Jeffrey Davis of Rotterdam; nine cherished grandchildren; his sister, Virginia (Raymond) Smith of Campbell, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother-in-law of Dennis and Vickie Hall of Lakeland, Fla., Judy and Roger Easton and Douglas and Sheryl Hall, all of Whitesville, N.Y. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Those who wish may make contributions in Gene's memory to the American Heart Association, P.O.
