McCALL (McKenzie), Gail Patricia 2008-10-28 Mrs. Gail Patricia McCall (McKenzie) age 67 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 in McMaster University Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. Gail was born in Port Arthur on July 4, 1941 to the late Donald and Hazel McKenzie, and was educated at Selkirk Vocational High School. She was married to Dave (David) McCall Sr. on August 7, 1965. Family was foremost to Gail, especially family suppers (she was certain it was always her turn) whether it was at home or camp. Camp at West Green Bay was a special place for her to entertain family and friends. She enjoyed providing day care service and influencing children over the years and was pleased to attend many of their weddings. You could not ask for a better, more loving Mother and Grandmother and friend. She was always there. Gail may have been one person, but she meant the world to many. She is survived by her loving husband Dave; son Donnie and daughter-in-law Michelle; daughter-in-law Andrea; stepdaughter Mandy; 3 grandsons Jesse, Mitchell and Patrick and 2 granddaughters Emily and Alica; brothers Jerry and wife Ann and Ken and wife Stella; sister-in-law Karen Cousineau (Whitby, Ontario);. Also survived by her in-laws Ruth and Jim McCall; Uncle Leo Tuomi (Hamilton, Ontario) and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was predeceased by her Father in 1947; Mother in 1981 and son David McCall Jr. on June 28, 2006. Funeral services for the late Mrs. Gail McCall will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday November 1, 2008 at the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James with Mr. Bob McCall officiating. A private family interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. If friends so desire, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
