Frank Thomas Marino, 83, of 10 Kestrel Court, formerly of Englewood, Fla., husband of Betty Lou Crumpler Marino, died Monday, November 27, 2006, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Dominic Thomas and Annie Volino Marino.Mr. Marino was retired from the New York City Transit Authority. He was a member of Englewood Presbyterian Church, and attended Mountain Creek Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran, having served during WWII.Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Barbara Young of Pompano Beach, Fla., Susan Thebner of Media, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Regina Powell of Greensboro, N.C.; two stepsons, Victor Wayne Jackson of Naples, Fla., Vernon Reavis Jackson of Moncks Corner, S.C.; three grandchildren, Vanessa Young, Jordan Thebner, and Zachary Thebner; five stepgrandchildren; a sister, Anna Ruggiero of North Port, Fla. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Francis Marino.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, November 30, 2006, at 3 p.m., at Mountain Creek Baptist Church.The family will be at the residence. -- Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
