Obituary of Frances Parker


STRATHAM -- Frances A. Parker, 76, died Feb. 28, 2009 at Langdon Place in Exeter. Mrs. Parker was born March 3, 1932, in Chelsea, Mass., a daughter of Frank and Mary (Mackovich) Zaino. She was raised in Manchester, and for many years had resided in Vernon, Conn., before retiring to the New Hampshire seacoast in recent years. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Parker had been a bank loan officer for many years at Vernon National Bank. Mrs. Parker was an active volunteer in the oncology department at Exeter Hospital, as well as the Lost Spouse Group. Mrs. Parker very much enjoyed her knitting group. She was pre-deceased by her husband, John A. Parker and her son, Jack W. Parker. IN HER LIFE: Family includes two daughters, Judith P. Phillips of Medfield, Mass., and Melinda P. Dolan of Eliot, Maine; four grandchildren, Kirsten Phillips, Jordan Phillips, Hannah Dolan and Kate Dolan; a sister, Rosemarie Ducharme of Goffstown; as well as many nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, 573 Pine St., corner of Harrison Street, in Manchester. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Goffstown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Lung Association of NH, 20 Warren St., Concord 03301.
