ObituaryFLORENCE A. LYONSFORMERLY OF GROTON - Florence A. Lyons, 95, formerly of Groton, NY, and NYC, died March 7, 2007 at the Cortland Care Center in Cortland, NY, after a short illness.Born February 14, 1912 in Walden, NY, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Ada Howd Lyons. Having spent most of her life in the surroundings of NYC, she was a Medical Librarian at the NY Academy of Medicine in NYC. Moving in 1994 to Groton to be near her nephew's family, she spent her remaining years enjoying time with them.She is survived by her nephew, Howard (Linda) Bonavia of Groton, NY; and her niece, Laurel (Paul) Kane of Milford, CT; as well as her great-niece, Jennifer Sebastian of Richmond, VA; and great-nephews, Grant Bonavia of Kensington, MD, and Andrew Bonavia of Groton.Graveside services will take place at the family plot in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT, on Monday, March 12, 2007, at 1:00 p.m.Arrangements are in the care of the Zirbel Funeral Home, 115 Williams St., Groton, NY.
