PHARAND, Fernand Alphones Joseph In loving memory of Fernand Pharand (1918-2002) who passed away on December 31, 2002 at the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Cecile (Despatie) Pharand (predeceased 1994). Dear father of Georgette (husband Lucien Chrestine) of Sudbury, Roger (wife Georgette) of Hanmer, Monique (husband Robert Jennix) of Hanmer and Nicole (husband Alexander Fraser) of Victoria, B.C. Predeceased by his son-in-law Ronald Levac 1991. Grandfather of seven grandchildren: Luc Chretien of Fort St. John B.C. (wife Charmaine), Luc Pharand of Windsor, Jasmine Pharand of North Bay, Martin Pharand of Barrie, Guy Levac (wife Nathalie) of Barrie, Pierre Levac of Barrie and Roxanne Levack of Toronto. Dear great grand- father of Madison of Sault Ste Marie. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Rose (Proulx) Pharand. Also predeceased by his brother Alcide (wife Gabrielle) of Hanmer, His sister Lucienne (Alfred Paquette) of Sudbury, his siter Anita (Raymond Valade) and his brother Arthur (wife Agathe) all of Sudbury. He is survived by one sister Berthe (Georges Proulx of Copper Cliff) brother Gerard s.j. of Quebec City and Aimé (wife Huguette) from Windsor. Dear brother-in-law of Rhéa Démoré (late Constant) augustine Proulx (late Rome), therese Houle (husband Aurel), Louis Despatie 9wife Adrienne), Lucien Despatie 9wife Alice) Roger Despatie (late Patricia) and Lily Pharand (husband victor) all of Hanmer. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Harvey Despatie, Theodore "Ted" (wife Ghislaine) of Hanmer and Wilfrid (wife Monique) of Azilda. He leaves many nieces and nephews. Mr. Pharand was born and lived in Hanmer all his life. He was a member of the Golden Age Club St. Jacques. He retired from the Canadian national railways in 1984 after 35 years service. He was an avid gardener and a talented wood carver. He has returned to the Father in peace and serenity. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer. Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Drive, Hanmer. Funeral Mass at S. Jacques Church, Hanmer, Saturday, January 4, at 11 am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Diabetic Association would be appreciated.
