PARKER, FRANCES H. (WEARE) Frances Parker of York, Maine & Gainesville, Florida was born in York Village, Maine. She died in her home on January 30, 2013 at the age of 87 years old. During her teen years, she was an accomplished pianist. She majored in music during her first two years of college. She dropped out of her third year in 1945 and married a military officer, Ed Parker. Her primary pursuits in the following years were being a good mother and loving wife. Then, managing the forgoing, she worked in a college setting in several capacities. She was known as the hostess with the mostest at the Reitz Union. These occupations were followed by a short stint into real-estate sales followed by a number of years in Mary Kay sales eventually becoming a sales-director before retiring in 1987. Frances was a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution having provided them support in bygone years. Survivors include her devoted husband Edward W. Parker, of York, Maine & Gainesville, Florida; two daughters: Carolyn P. Shacter & husband Kenneth of Jacksonville, Florida; Nance P. McLeish & husband Donald of Jacksonville, Fl. Also 3 grandchildren Amy Turci, Dominique Ingerson & Michelle McLeish. She is preceded in death by Her daughter, Susan P Reisinger, her son, William E. Parker and grandson, Sean Reisinger. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of; a donation to the Haven Hospice. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
