Obituary of Eunice-Eva Johnson


Eunice Eva Johnson, 90, Brookline, died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2006, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was born July 24, 1915, in Lindsay, Oklahoma, the daughter of Columbus Pierce and Mettie (Edmonson) Sansing. Mrs. Johnson had been a commercial artist before she was united in marriage to Emil W. Johnson on August 4, 1944. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and caring for her children. A dedicated homemaker, she was a loving grandmother, and was active in her church at Brookline Baptist for many years. She was preceded in death by a son, Darryl L. Johnson, on November 24, 1994 a brother and her parents. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Emil a daughter, Elise Johnson, both of the home a son and his wife, Irvin and Jeanette Johnson, Owasso, Oklahoma three grandchildren other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2006, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, with Pastors Mitch Wright and John Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookline Cemetery. Visitation will be at 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brookline Baptist Church Building Fund.
