Esther Pearl Mitchell Williams, 86, Lexington, Ala., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home after an extended illness.Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at Lexington United Methodist Church. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at Lexington United Methodist Church, with burial in Pettus Cemetery. Officiating at the funeral will be Brother Dallas Culver.She is survived by her son, Morris Henry Williams and wife, Jill, Lexington, Ala.; daughter, Robbie Jo Knight and husband, Danny, Lexington, Ala.; two sisters, Nora B. McInnish, Greenhill, Ala., June Allen Thacker, Anderson, Ala.; three grandchildren, Mitchell Knight, Joey Williams, Katie Williams; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Gracie Knight.She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Wheeler and Lala Adeline Allen Mitchell.She was born in Lexington, Ala., and was a retired cook from Lexington High School. She was a member of Lexington United Methodist Church and a member of Lexington Senior Citizens.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lexington United Methodist Church Building Fund, Hospice of the Shoals or your favorite charity.Loretto Memorial Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
