MARIN Esther (nee Genovese) Born February 8, 1926 in Vancouver, B.C. and passed away December 26, 2008 after a short courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Esther was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Ugo and her parents Ernesto and Croce. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her daughters Judy (Rod) and Jo-Anne (Randy); grandchildren Joey, Sarah (Mike); brother Elso (Tina) and many family and friends in Canada and Italy. Esther attended Strathcona School and had many fond memories of her childhood which she remembered and shared often. Esther touched the lives of everyone she met and was a kind, gentle and loving soul. She will be deeply missed by all. Special thanks to the nurses, volunteers and the whole team at Crossroads Hospice in Port Moody for your compassionate care of our dear mother. You are all angels on Earth and helped us through this most difficult time. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver. Entombment, the Abbey, Ocean View Burial Park.
