Gunter, Ernest Edward "Ed" 82, of Kenneth City, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. He was born in Eau Gallie, FL, and came here in 1988 from Albany, GA. He retired as a gunnery sgt. in the Marine Corp. and was a 32 degree Mason. He was a member of the Fifth Ave. Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Karen Kay Fitts, of Kenneth City; granddaughters, Terressa, and Cindy Phillips; and 3 great-granddaughters. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Helen L. Gunter. Friends may call Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 from 9:30 to service time at 10 a.m., at E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home, 4100 16th St. N. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
