Sept. 7, 1936-Feb. 22, 2008 Emily L. Adams of Gainesville was healed of all pain and suffering when she was taken to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008. She is the daughter of the late Forest Allen Pierce and Laura Pierce Hood. Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Joe Harris of Oakwood and Lydia and David Bagley of Canton; and four grandchildren, David Brooks Harris, Brandon Pierce Harris, Chloe Alexandra Bagley and Charles Anderson (Chase) Bagley. Mrs. Adams was a native of Hall County, where she lived for most of her life. She was a member of the Gainesville High School class of 1955 and a graduate of Gainesville College. She held a variety of professional positions during her career, concluding with retirement from the former ConAgra Poultry Co., Gainesville Division. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Gainesville, and a former member of Chicopee Baptist Church. Mrs. Adams was a strong and independent woman whose strength was derived from her Lord and Savior. Her greatest joys in life were the love of her daughters and grandchildren, their families and her many loving friends. Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, in the chapel of Little-Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Earl Pirkle will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday, Feb 25, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will accept flowers. However, donations may be given in memory of Emily L.
