Elizabeth Fitzmaurice, born in 1966, spouse of James Fitzmaurice, daughter of Carol and Chuck, mother of Zachary, died on May 31, 1966 at 6 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
FITZMAURICE Elizabeth Ellen (nee Schaefer), was born May 31, 1966 at the Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. She lived in Huntington, CT until she was 6 years old, moving to Wyckoff, where she attended Washington School and was active at the Wyckoff Reformed Church. She graduated from Ramapo High School in 1985 and Adelphi College in 1989 with a Bachelor's Degree in business and art. She was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She received her Master's Degree in graphic design at Pratt Institute in 1993 and was head of the art department at Cyber Warrior, a computer game company in Fair Lawn. She married James Fitzmaurice on May 11, 1996. They lived in Wyckoff and had two children Zachary Fitzmaurice was born January 28, 1999 and Katherine Elizabeth was born May 3, 2002. In high school Betsy was involved in photography and art and competed in tennis and loved skiing. Once she had children she was involved in all their activities. Zach plays soccer, baseball and basketball and Katherine does competitive dance. She leaves her parents Carol and Chuck Schaefer of Franklin Lakes, her sister Carolyn and her husband Sandy Weininger, her niece Rachael, a brother Charles Schaefer and her aunts and uncles, Jerry and Joyce Salvi, George and Lynn Bovenizer and Joe and Barbara Demuth. She leaves her husband's family, Jackie Fitzmaurice, James Fitzmaurice, the Fitzmaurice family, the Harty Family and the Long Family. Funeral services will be held at the Wyckoff Reformed Church, 580 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ at 11 AM on Friday, June 3, 2011. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Betsy's name to the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation; c/o the Joseph Sanzari Childrens Hospital, 360 Essex Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
