STEWART, Elizabeth Elva, 88, of Brooksville, Fla., went home to be with her Lord April 29, 2009, under the care of hospice. Born in Daytona Beach, Fla., she moved to Miami, Fla., in early 1940, where she met and married her beloved, Richard Stewart. Upon retirement in 1975, they moved to Brooksville. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Brooksville. She was predeceased by her husband in 1999, and her daughter, Josephine Maimone, in 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Liz Rochester of St. Martinsville, La.; her son, Michael Stewart of Leesburg, Fla.; nine grand-children; 20 great grand-children; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and very dear friends, Louise and Ira Standridge. Friends will be received 10-11 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2009, at Anchor Baptist Church, 77 Lucas Dr. Brooksville, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ray Woodward officiating. Interment will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Hernando-Pasco Hospice or Anchor Baptist Church.
