<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->ELEANOR JEAN WARDNOVEMBER 16, 2014Eleanor Jean Ward born in Dayton, Ohio on November 21, 1041 and passed away in Fort Myers, Florida on November 16, 2014.Eleanor is survived by her sister Rosalyn McGlynn; children, Doug Ward, Deborah Costello, Pamela Ramsey, and Nancy Jo Ward; nephew and niece Colby Jerdon, Melissa Metzger; and great-aunt of one niece and two nephews. She was a loved grandmother of six and great-grandmother of eight. Preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Dean C. Ward and children Susan Bogart, and Peter Ward.Eleanor worked at MuRata Electric Corporation in Atlanta, GA, as a Senior Customer Service Representative for 20 years until her retirement in 2004.Eleanor suffered from lung disease for the last 10 years of her life, but did not let that stop her from becoming an award-winning, self taught nature photographer. She won first, second, and 3rd place awards plus honorable mention in juried art shows in Atlanta and Captiva and Sanibel Islands. Her art hangs in homes, studios and businesses in Cleveland, Atlanta, Ft Myers, Sanibel & Captiva Island, and Santa Barbara, CA. Eleanor has the distinction of being invited to show her art on three different occasions at Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, and she was also a member of Big Arts Association in Florida.Eleanor was at peace with her God as she captured His artwork through her lens. She captured tiny insects on flowers, and birds of all sizes, but her favorite were the big cats. Eleanor lived with diminished lung capacity, but this was just a challenge to overcome. Her oxygen tanks may have been the first thing you noticed, but her artwork was what you remembered. Eleanor will rest in peace knowing the joy she brought to those who have her beautiful art.Her memorial Service will be held on Dec 5th at St. Isabel Church at 1:30.
