ELIAS, Edwin A.December 3, 1936 – July 30, 2016It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ed Elias, beloved husband of Nancy Elias of Chestermere. Ed passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Agape Hospice on July 30, 2016 at the age of 79 years. He was the loving father of Ken (Shelley) Elias, Jim (Kami) Elias, Les (Michele) Elias, Teresa (Rod) Sander, and Julie Perrin (Carter). He will also be dearly missed by his 8 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Marie Elias, his sister Edna Kaita and 2 grandchildren, Jodi and Matthew Elias. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Mountain View Funeral Home (1615 – 100 Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at First Mennonite Church (2600 Richmond Road SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank everyone for all of their prayers and visits over the past several months. We also wish to thank Dr. Swart, Dr. Craighead and all of the staff at the Agape Hospice; your care and support was sincerely appreciated.
