WRIGHT, Dorothy (Dodie) Corlett November 11, 1928 - November 24, 2013Dodie passed away serenely on November 24, 2013, two weeks after her 85th birthday. The daughter of Albert and Bessie Wright, Dodie lived her entire life in her beloved Kerrisdale home. Dodie was a proud graduate of Magee High School and UBC (where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority). Dodie worked for many years in the executive office of Woodward's at Oakridge, and then retired to tend to her garden, her cats, and her friends. Dodie will be missed by her many cousins, her four Godchildren, and her countless friends, all of whom will lovingly remember the twinkle of her eye, the joy of her laughter, and the kindness of her heart. The congregation of St. Stephen's United Church will also miss her singing voice, which continues to reverberate in the Church rafters. A very special note of heartfelt appreciation is extended to Rosie and Elizabeth (ABC Home Support), whose devoted and loving care enabled Dodie to achieve her goal of remaining in her home until her final days. A celebration of Dodie's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, at St. Stephen's United Church, 7025 Granville Street, Vancouver.
