Wolfe, Dorothy WYNANTSKILL Dorothy Adams Wolfe, age 92, wife of the late William H. Wolfe, died on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Born in Westfield, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Eugene F. and Helen Berney Adams. She lived in Wynantskill for most of her life and attended Wynantskill School and Troy High School. Mrs. Wolfe was employed as a sewing machine operator at various shirt companies in the Troy area including Jacobson and Troy Town Shirt Companies, retiring in 1979. She was charter member of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill and also belonged to the church's rosary altar society. She was also a member of the Wynantskill Senior Citizens. Survivors include her beloved sisters, Evelyn Steen and Elaine Haskins, both of Wynantskill and beloved nephew and niece, Daniel (Patricia M.) Steen and Patricia A. Steen, both of Wynantskill. She was predeceased by three sisters, Doris McKendry, Marguerite Adams and Helen Cole and a brother, Eugene Adams. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephew. The funeral will be from the Thomas S. Connolly Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Rd., Wynantskill on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Jude the Apostle Church, Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Salvatore Rodino, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford.
