Dorothy L. Evansof Great Bend, Pa.Dorothy L. Evans, 89, of Great Bend, Pa., passed away December 29, 2006 in Binghamton, N.Y. She was the beloved wife of Richard C. Evans, who predeceased her in 1999. Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Carol Darrow, Winter Garden, Fla.; a son, Richard T. Evans and wife, Michele, Raleigh, N.C.; a son-in-law, Norman R. Darrow, Hallstead, Pa.; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Iona Lott, Windsor, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey R. Darrow and wife, Angela, Connie A. Darrow, and Kimberly J. Darrow; two great-grandchildren, Abagael Rudock and Isabelle Grace Ansback; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Lewis Lott; and by a sister, Florence Lott. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Dorothy formed many lifelong friendships and was dearly loved and admired by all who knew her.A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hallstead, Pa., Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Donald Littleton officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dorothy Evans to the Great Bend-Hallstead Ambulance Association, or to the American Heart Association.
