Doris Kathleen Cox Doris Kathleen Cox, 86, of Tallahassee and Middletown, Ohio, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at her daughter's home. Honoring Mrs. Cox's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hopevale Church in Saginaw, Mich. Pastor Ken MacGillivray will officiate. The daughter of the late James Henry and Caroline Heathcoat Wilson, Doris was born April 10, 1920, in Birmingham, England, coming to the United States of America 60 years ago. She was married to John Cox Jr. on Nov. 20, 1945, who preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2001.Doris was a member of Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by four sons, two daughters and their spouses, John Cox IV (and wife Linda) and Patricia and Jim Barnidge, all of Tallahassee, James and Phoebe Cox of Cape Coral, Sharron and Dr. Don Passal of Hemlock, Mich., Robert and Joyce Cox of Melbourne and Michael and Naomi Cox of Cookville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including Pam Wilson; and members of Mr. Cox's family, Thomas and Lois Cox, Jean Cox and Ramona Tuite.In addition to her husband, Doris was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers, Phyllis White, Edna, Leslie and Jack Wilson.
