->FORT KENT - Doris (Soucy) Boucher, 85, died unexpectedly February 23, 2015 while visiting family in Florida. She was born in Fort Kent February 21, 1930, the daughter of Baptiste and Victorie (Charette) Soucy. Doris worked for over 40 years in upholstery and was very active in her community. She was a member of the Columbiettes, Ladies of St. Anne, BPW, Senior Citizens Club all of Fort Kent, and she served as President of the Carter Brook Sno-Bird Snowmobile Club. Doris is survived by her four sons: Russell and wife Vicky Boucher of Fort Kent, Steven Boucher of Fort Kent, Mark and wife Tracy Boucher of Dover, Delaware, and Scott Boucher of Fort Kent. Four Daughters: Nina and husband Bob Harris of Mercer, Me., Karen and husband Paul Ouellette of Fort Kent, Marcine and husband Lee Akeley of Ocala Florida, Penny and husband Ricky Loveland of Joppa, Alabama and a daughter-in-law Murielle Jacques of Berwick, Me. Doris has 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her sisters-in-law are Nora, Bernice, Sadie, Germaine and Rina. In addition to her husband Valere Boucher in 1994 she was predeceased by her son Lester in 1984, granddaughter, Charity in 1978 and a grandson J.R. in 2007 and by two brothers, Reynold and Roy Soucy. Her gentle spirit will be missed by all who loved her. She inspired everyone with her positive attitude and simple generosity. Her influence on countless generations will live on in each of our hearts and memories. Friends may call March 1st, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and 9 to 10:30 am until time of service at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Monday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be held in the parish cemetery.
