HALL, DONNA MARIE, 57 Jacksonville - Donna Marie Hall, 57, died peacefully at her home on April 27, 2007. She was born on January 23, 1950 in Pittsfield, Mass. and has lived in Jacksonville since 1971. Donna was a graduate of the University of Florida where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and Sigma Chi Sweetheart. Donna was very active in the community; was involved in numerous charitable organizations, and was particularly passionate about helping sick children. She served as president of the Woman's Board for Wolfson Children's Hospital from 2004-2006. She was on the Board of Directors for Dreams Come True, a wish-granting organization for terminally ill children. Additionally, she was a member of the Junior League, an active volunteer for the Bolles School and worked with the Early Learning Program at Lakewood Presbyterian Church where she was a member. Donna always had a big smile on her face and a big heart to match. She was a gracious hostess who loved to entertain. She was always willing to open her home for fundraisers for the many causes for which she loved. She truly was the epitome of grace, charm and dignity. Left behind to mourn her loss are her loving husband, Y. E. (Chipper) Hall, Jr. and two children, Lawton and Marie. Other family members include sisters; Deborah (Kenneth) Berke and Rebecca (Bill) Joca and sisters-in-law; Chris (Bill) Bryan and Gretchen Swinson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was pre-deceased by her parents, Francis Peter Deame and Lorraine Geswell Hirshberg. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Jacksonville at Lakewood Presbyterian Church, 2001 University Blvd. West, after a private burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, April 30, at Lakewood Presbyterian Church from 5:30-7:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woman's Board/Wolfson Children's Hospital, 1325 San Marco Blvd., Suite 802, Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
