Dennis Eugene Davis, 51, of Florence, died Monday, April 21, 2008. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence. The service will follow in the chapel at 1 p.m.Mr. Davis was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County. He was a carpenter.He was preceded in death by his fathers, Ed Rich and Earnest Davis.He is survived by his wife, Sue Davis; daughters, Christy Sharp (Montrel) and April Sharp; son, Matt Sharp; parents, Maureen Rich and Marie Spires Davis; brothers, Tim, Steve, Ricky, Jackie Davis and John McMullin; sisters, Deborah Davis, Donna McCutchen, Susan Davis and Charlotte Davis; three grandchildren, Alexis, Caleb and Vail; father and mother-in-law, Glen and Betty Sharp; two brothers-in-law, Donnie and Danny Sharp.Pallbearers will be Montrell Almond, Jason Davis, Matt Sharp, Will Mann, Marty, Jimmy, Elzo and Mike Smith.Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence, directing.
