Denice Lynn Williams, 57, of Crestview, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2011 at her daughter's home in Niceville, surrounded by family and friends.She was born on Feb. 9, 1954 in Waterloo, Iowa, to Fred and Darlyne Weekley. She grew up in and around Waterloo with her four brothers, moving to Omaha, Neb., after graduating high school at Grundy Center, Iowa, and finally moving to Crestview, in 1989. She was formally married to Bill Davenport from Omaha (deceased), and Rick Williams (divorced) of Crestview. Prior to retirement Denice worked both at Tom Thumb Stores and Marcamp's. She loved college and professional football, frequently predicting winners of games at both levels. Denice attended the Church of God in Crestview.She is survived by a son, Billie Davenport and wife Susan of Freeport, and daughter, Lynne Roll of Niceville. Grandchildren are Bud, Billie, and Chris Roll of Niceville, and Dylan, Danielle, and David McKinney and Mariah Davenport of Crestview, with one great-grandson, Brantley Crooks. Her parents are the late Frederick Weekley Sr. and Darlyne Weekley (Woodruff, S.C.); her siblings are Fred (Jr.) and Pattie Weekley (Columbus, Ga.), Sam Weekley (Hamilton, Ga.), Ted and Terri Weekley (Woodbridge, Va.) and Larry Weekley (Woodruff).She is predeceased by her husband, Bill Davenport; father, Fred Weekley Sr.; brother, Billie Weekley; and nephew, David Weekley.A viewing was held at Brackney Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 26 between 6 and 8 p.m., with cremation following. Brackney Funeral Service, Crestview, was in charge of arrangements.Thank you to everyone who provided comfort and treatment over the past few months, with special thanks to the Covenant Hospice support.
