Graves, David Wayne 'Poppie' Sep. 6, 1943 - Aug. 12, 2014 David Wayne (Poppie) Graves, 70, of Venice went to glory on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. He was born in Syracuse, NY September 6, 1943. He graduated from Lafayette HS and joined the US Air Force. He enjoyed bowling, hunting & fishing, and golf. On August 8, 1964, he married his wife, Lynda, and they held hands for 50 years. He is survived by his son, Trevor (Amy) of Portland, OR; daughter, Joy Harris of Hillsborough, NC; and son, Kirk (Kathleen) of Winchester, KY. He was 'Poppie' to his seven grandchildren: Kira, Soren, Aidan, Kylee, Ethan, Amelia, and Rylan. He is survived by his brother Ronald (Carol), and Norman (Georgia) Graves. He was preceded in death by brother Kyle, mother, Ruth and father, Roswell Graves. A Celebration of Life will be held in late October.
