Obituary of David Neill

NEILL, David On March 16, 2005, Mr. David Neill of Edmonton passed away at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn his loss, his loving partner, Eileen Yonkers of Edmonton; brothers and sisters, William, Robert, John, Nan (Ferguson), Francis, Hugh, Tom, Matthew, Greta (Fulton), Betty (McClure), Helen (Devlin), Janet (Colter) all in Scotland and Jean (Calder) in Australia and special niece, Elsie in Scotland; special friends, Ken (Joyce) White and family of Edmonton, Stewart McMillan and family of Edmonton. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret in July 1999. He was a Past Master and Life Member of Highlands Unity Lodge No. 168 A.F. & A.M. G.R.A.; he received his 50 year Jewel from the G.R.A. in 1999; Past District Deputy of Yellowhead District; First Principal of Capital City Chapter No. 13, R.A.M., 1967; an Honourary Life Member of Norwood Chapter No. 18, R.A.M. and North Star Chapter No. 2, R.A.M.; Grand First Principal of the Grand Chapter of Alberta in 1992/93; President High Priesthood of Alberta 1975; Life Member of Zohar Council No. 4, 1987; Grand Master of Cryptic Rite Masons of Western Canada, R&SM 1994; Life Member of Edmonton Preceptory No. 46, K.T., 1978; Provincial Grand Prior, Alberta 1979/80; Prior and Life Member of Western Canada Priory No. 35 K.Y.C.H., 1987; Sovereign of Taylor Conclave No. 5, 1983; Governor and Life Member Alberta Rose College No. 52, 1994; Grand Governor Alberta, York Rite Sovereign College of North America, 1985/86/87; Past Grand VII Pillar Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests, 1999; a Founding Charter Member of Al Shamal Shriners; a Past President of Al Shamal Director's Staff; a Director of Edmonton Court No. 190, R.O.J., 1990. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Foster & McGarvey Funeral Chapel, 10008 - 103 Street. Reverend John Burrill will officiate. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Shriner's Hospital Transportation Fund, 14510 - 142 Street, Edmonton, AB T6V 1H9.
