OBITUARY DAISY PEARL HIGGINS (nee WARD) Born on March 18, 1911 Daisy Higgins lived an extraordinary one hundred years and died peacefully on March 18, 2011. After celebrating her favourite holiday, St-Patrick's Day, she passed away on the morning of her one hundredth birthday at the Bayview Residence in Pointe-Claire. Beloved wife of the late Russell Hiram Higgins, dear sister of the late Eva (Duncan), Olive (Boyd) and Irene (Wilson). Proud mother of Marguerite, George, Joanne and Sandra. Adored Nannie to seven grandchildren; Jeremy, Andrea, Kadejah, Aaron, Joy, Georgiana and April, and seven great-grandchildren. Daisy led an active and healthy life, teaching Phys. Ed for many years for the English Montreal School Board. Daisy's cheer and vivaciousness will be missed by her many relatives and friends. Visitations will be held on March 31 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White, 222 Autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, Qc. Funeral service to be held on Friday, April 1, 2 p.m. at Summerlea United Church, 225-50th Avenue, Lachine, Qc. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
