Cora Lee Hills Smith, 77, of Panama City, Fla., died Thursday, July 24, 2008, at her home. She was born to the late Misa Paul Porter and Aron Alice Porter in Bonifay, Fla. She later moved to Panama City, Fla., where she met and married the late Luther Hills Sr. To this union five children were born. One son, Luther Jerome Hills Jr., preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by 10 sisters and brothers. She leaves not to mourn, but to cherish her memories three daughters, Cora Ann Lemons of Tallahassee Fla., Carmen Wright and Cynthia Lewis of Atlanta; one son, Anthony C. Hills Sr. (Mary) of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, Willie C. Porter of Panama City, Fla., and Paul Porter of Boston; half-brother, Charlie Clines of Pontiac, Mich.; two sisters, Alice Mason of Virginia Beach, Va., and the Rev. Dr. Yvonne (Porter) Gainer of Orlando, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, Precious, Felecia, Kenneth, Youal, Shakela (Chuckwudi), Angela, Johnny, Anthony Jr., LaVar, Christi (Eric), Sheritta and Darrius; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Darryl Stanley and the Rev. Bobby L. White officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services Saturday.
